Where Ideas Take Shape
For Pamton 3D founder Pamela Szmara, it all began with a Stratasys and a need.

For many years, Pamela had worked as an orthodontic laboratory technician fabricating orthodontic appliances for the dental industry. As 3D printing gained popularity in dentistry, Pamela knew she needed to give this new technology a try. She purchased a Stratasys printer and immediately fell in love with the process. From there, Pamton 3D began to take shape.
Although Pamton primarily focused on orthodontics in the beginning, we've expanded our products and services throughout the years. Our company now offers 3D printing services, prototyping, scale models, short production runs and more, with a focus shifted toward the automotive, aeronautical and industrial markets.
The future holds continued growth and evolution for Pamton 3D as we continue to find new and innovative ways to serve clients throughout the United States.

Pamela Szmara
Founder
Pam Szmara might wear glasses to correct her eyesight, but when it comes to creating real-life 3-D solutions for her customers, she has perfect vision.
For more than 25 years, Pam worked as an orthodontic laboratory technician where she hand-fabricated orthodontic appliances for the dental industry. But after buying her first Stratasys machine and channeling some Geometry knowledge from back in the day, she decided to immerse herself in the world of additive manufacturing. The rest is history.
Today, Pam is the founder and CEO of Pamton 3D, the Mahoning Valley’s only woman-owned 3D printing company. She manages Pamton’s 3D printing services, prototyping, scale models and short production projects for customers all over the country in the automotive, aeronautical, medical and industrial markets. She is also heavily involved in education within the 3D printing community and serves on the board of directors for Tooling U-SME.
IN PAM’S WORDS
"The technology of 3D printing is amazing and has transformed the way companies work and how fast ideas can come to life. We can go from paper to prototype in 24 hours instead of what used to take months."

Tony Szmara
Chief Financial Officer
Whether it’s keeping the books or ensuring the machinery is in tip-top shape, Tony Szmara keeps Pamton 3D running at peak performance.
In his role as Chief Financial Officer, the accounting professional is responsible for handling the company’s finances, including invoicing, expenditures, purchasing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
He also brings 40 years of experience as a service technician, repairing and troubleshooting electronic equipment including televisions, copiers, printers and computers. That expertise allows him to provide quick repair solutions to keep Pamton’s operations moving full speed ahead.
IN TONY’S WORDS
"Math never bothered me, and I managed the finances for Pam at Live Wires [Orthodontics], so it makes sense for me to take on the same role at Pamton. She handles delivering solutions to our customers and I work behind the scenes to keep us operating."
